Sensory Nature Art & Mud Kitchen Play – Pre-school

  •  01/10/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning filled with nature art and sensory play activities for little ones at Ceres Environment Park in Brunswick East.

We’ll have a range of sensory nature art and craft activities on offer such as our paint lab (mixing and crushing to make paint!), potion corner (cutting and crushing herbs),  a construction corner for creating using playdough and clay, and items from our loose parts baskets.  Of course, our mud kitchen play is always popular with the little ones who enjoy cooking up a storm of mud pies, mud cakes and perhaps even some delicious mud ice-cream. Yum!

The kids will also make their own Australian nature animals to take home!

Our sessions are child led, with a focus on unstructured play so the kids can play, imagine and create to their heart’s delight!

This workshop is run by Melinda and Sofia.

Melinda is the founder of Eco Explorers and has over 20 years experience working with families and children. She is also a Forest School level 3 trained Leader and experienced nature-based facilitator.

Sofia has just recently joined the Eco Explorers team and has a background in the creative arts and brings with her a variety of creative skills (art, dance, singing), extensive local plant and Indigenous knowledge and group facilitation.

We hope you can join us!

Ages: 1-6 years
