Come and join us for an afternoon exploring and creating botanical art at Ceres Environment Park in Brunswick East. This class is for children and adults are also welcome to book and participate! The children will learn the art of making botanical prints and paints using plants, flowers, leaves, and even bark.

They will learn about and explore plant physiology, biology and ecology through techniques of observation drawing and painting guided by an artist.

This workshop is run by Sofia, a freelance artist based on the Merri Creek, Melbourne where she has been making art since 1993. She specialises in fine art, illustration, public murals, workshops and educational comics. Sofia is also a bush playgroup facilitator for Eco Explorers and was lucky to have grown up playing with mud and climbing trees, and loves nothing more than to pass these joys on to children and adults alike.
