‘We’re going on a bug hunt, we’re going to find some small ones…’
Do you have a child that LOVES bugs? Going on adventures and learning all about the fascinating crawly critters? Then this workshop is for them!
Join us at Westerfolds Park in Templestowe for our Bush kids program where we will be going on a bug and nature detective scavenger hunt in the forest! The children will create their own mini-beast collage out of natural/recycled materials. There will be a bug game and investigation stations set up for learning. Also, plenty of opportunity to climb trees in the bush.
Our program is for specifically aimed at supporting children to develop important social, physical and emotional skills through hands-on learning and teaching them real-life bush survival and bushcraft skills.
Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.
This workshop is run by Ting.
