Templestowe Bush Kids – Tools & Nature Prints

  •  29/12/2022
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a morning of nature play at Westerfolds Park  in Templestowe for our bush kids program where we will be making their own nature art prints using hammers and tools to create gorgeous botanical prints and experiment with making paints.. There will also be plenty of opportunity to explore and go on a walk in the bush with activities, games and adventure with our experienced facilitators.

PLUS, we’ll go on an adventure and bush walk learning essential bush skills, about the local flora & fauna while connecting and practicing being mindful in nature.

Our program is for specifically aimed at supporting children to develop important social, physical and emotional skills through hands-on learning and teaching them real-life bush survival and bushcraft skills.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

This workshop is run by Kirsty,  a qualified Primary School Teacher and Bush Playgroup Facilitator.

Eco Explorers is an all weather outdoor playgroup so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children and adults must wear closed footwear when walking in the bush, sun hats, sunscreen, wet weather gear, plenty of snacks and water and even a change of clothes for those muddy play days! Our playgroup will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

Ages: 4 – 10 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encourage to join in on the fun!
