Summer Sensory Nature Play (spray art)

  •  21/01/2019
     10:00 am - 11:30 am

Delight your child’s senses with our summer sensory play day. Guaranteed to be 100% fun and washable!

We’ll have a variety of summer-themed, sensory art activities set up from our small world ice play with marine creatures, ice hammering, spray art painting and mixing and creating in our sensory herb – mud kitchen! There will also be a nature activity, story and songs for little ones to enjoy.

This event is being held at Ceres Environment Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East and families can also enjoy a visit to the CERES organic market, cafe and the nursery while there.

Our sensory nature play playgroup is run by Kate.

Kate is a professional artist, primary school teacher and bush playgroup facilitator. She is passionate about creativity and how sensory interaction with the natural environment can stimulate curiosity, imagination and creativity.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally. Our playgroups are also a time for parents to disconnect from their busy lives (and technology) and re-connect with their child in nature. This time is as much for you as it is for your child.

This workshop is an all weather outdoor event so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children must have closed footwear, sun hats, sunscreen, plenty of snacks and water.

Ages: 1 – 6 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
