Sensory Nature & Mud Kitchen Play

  •  24/02/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning of nature play at the wonderful Ceres Environment Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East. We’ll be set up in the African village with a range of interactive, engaging and sensory nature play activities for your little ones to enjoy such as nature painting and crafting, water play and mini ice worlds for summer sensory exploration.  Of course, our mud kitchen play is always popular with the little ones who enjoy cooking up a storm of mud pies, mud cakes and perhaps even some delicious mud ice-cream. Yum!

Children will get to mix and crush their own earth paints and discover colours, as well as enjoy painting on all sorts of textures such as bark, rocks, paper and even their body. They can play with our selection of nature stamps to explore textures and smells with our 100% natural play dough, or try some ice play in our small world sensory ice play with marine creatures and ice hammering for bugs!

Children will also have the opportunity to create some beautiful nature craft to take home but be warned, they will get dirty and grubby and leave with a very smile on their face. There will also be a story and some songs to enjoy.

Our sessions are child led, with a focus on free unstructured play so the kids can play, get dirty and create to their heart’s delight!

Our workshop facilitator, Melinda is a qualified forest school leader who has been running bush playgroups for over 2 years.

Ages: 1 – 5 years

This is a great opportunity to come and try one of our playgroups or attend on a weekend if you work during the week.

We hope you can join us!
