Sensory Nature Art Studio – Pre-school 2

  •  25/09/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning filled nature art and sensory play activities for little ones!

We’ll have a range of sensory nature art activities on offer such as our paint lab (mixing and crushing to make paint!), charcoal drawing,  a construction corner for creating using clay, herbs and items from our loose parts baskets, perhaps even some mandala inspiration. Of course, our mud kitchen play is always popular with the little ones who enjoy cooking up a storm of mud pies, mud cakes and perhaps even some delicious mud ice-cream. Yum!

The group will also enjoy a bush walk and make their own nature paint brushes to create a piece of artwork, inspired by nature to take home.

Our workshop facilitator Kate is a professional artist and experienced primary school teacher with a major in Outdoor Education.  She is passionate about creativity and how sensory interaction with the natural environment can stimulate curiosity, imagination and creativity. Kate also runs our Lysterfield Lakes Bush Playgroups and has a wealth of knowledge about the natural environment, it’s history and through stories and play, connects children in a meaningful way to the land.

Our sessions are child led, with a focus on unstructured play so the kids can play, imagine and create to their heart’s delight!

We hope you can join us!

Ages: 1-6 years
