South Morang ReWild Your Dad ~ Campfires, Whittling & Cubbies

Join us for a day in the bush connecting to nature and learning bush survival and bushcraft skills with Eco Explorers founder and rewilding dad, Adam !

This special Father’s Day event is for all the wonderful dads (& Grandfathers, Uncles, brothers) out there. A chance to connect with your child in nature, to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life; Connecting, learning traditional bush crafts skills, watching the sunset while we cook bush foods damper around a campfire and share stories.

This workshop includes:

      • Learning the ancient art of whittling to whittle your own special journey stick.
      • Bush walk through Plenty Gorge Park learning about the flora & fauna, how to stay safe in the bush and basic bush survival skills such as how to navigate.
      • Campfire as the sun goes down cooking bush food damper and sausages over the fire. Yum!
      • Build cubbies and construction with ropes and loose parts.

Located at Plenty Gorge Park, situated in South Morang only 20km from Melbourne CBD with expansive and impressive views of the Plenty River and a backdrop of the wooded Plenty Gorge, this is a perfect spot for our dads rewild programs.

This workshop is run by Adam, the founder of Eco Explorers who has been delivering bush programs to families for over 8 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires, and survive in the Australian bush. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

Forest School Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

Children ages: 4-14 years

Parents are responsible for their children.
