Join us for a day in the bush connecting to nature and learning bush survival and bushcraft skills with Eco Explorers founder and dad, Adam !
This special Father’s Day event is for all the wonderful dads (& Grandfathers, Uncles, brothers) out there. A chance to connect with your child in nature, to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life; Connecting, learning traditional bush crafts skills, sitting around a campfire cooking damper and sausages, sharing stories and best of all catching yabbies by the dam!
Set on a 20 acre bush property in Strathewen, approximately 45kms north-east of Melbourne or just over an hour from the CDB. This fabulous location offers hikes up a mountain and untouched wilderness with an abundance of wildlife (kangaroos, wombats, echidna’s, deer, birdlife, frogs, turtles, lizards and much, much more!). This provides ample opportunity to learn and develop tracking, navigation and bush survival skills and safety.
Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over 8 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires, and survive in the Australian bush. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.
Forest School Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
