ReWild Your Child ~ Outdoor Forest School Holiday Program

  •  19/04/2023
     9:30 am - 4:00 pm

It’s time to get kids off the screens and into our Forest School these April school holidays! Our Forest School introduces essential bush survival and bushcraft skills through hands on learning and nature-based activities that are fun, engaging and build confidence, resilience and most importantly encourage them to move and strengthen their bodies and connect with nature in a deep and meaningful way.

We have children that leave our programs saying, it was the best day of their lives!  Each Forest School holiday program is different so no two will be alike. We keep groups small and children are mentored by Eco Explorers founder, forest school leader & bushcraft expert Adam.

Some of the activities that will be offered during this ReWild Your Child Forest School program are:

      • BUSHCRAFT, BUSH SURVIVAL & HIKE UP MOUNTAIN
      • Knots, ropes & cordage
      • Shelter building and construction with ropes, hammers, sticks and tarps
      • How to safety use tools (hammers, saws and drills ) and construct things out of wood
      • Bush walk discovering local fauna and flora
      • How to stay safe in the bush
      • Snake awareness and safety
      • Nature connection games
      • Creating, crafting, making art with natural materials

Set on a 20 acre bush property in Strathewen, approximately 45kms north-east of Melbourne or just over an hour from the CDB. This fabulous location offers hikes up a mountain and untouched wilderness with an abundance of wildlife (kangaroos, wombats, echidna’s, deer, birdlife, frogs, turtles, lizards and much, much more!). This provides ample opportunity to learn and develop tracking, navigation and bush survival skills and safety.

The Forest School workshop is led by Adam.

Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over 6 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and to survive. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

Forest School Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

Ages: 6-12 years

*This is a drop off session only. (Please contact us beforehand if your child has any additional needs)
