Nature Detectives & Bush Critters

  •  25/01/2019
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Do you have a curious child? A child that loves ADVENTURE, CLIMBING, DIGGING, BUILDING and searching for BUGS? Then this workshop is just for you! Come along and see what our Eco Explorers bush program is all about!

Children will go on an adventure searching for clues that tell us about the mini-beasts and animals that live at Braeside Park. There will be a scavenger hunt and children will search for footprints, burrows, bones, nests, bugs, webs, footprints and even poo! They will learn about life cycles, plants, bugs, wildlife and maybe even spot a kangaroo!

The children will be encouraged to use their bodies through climbing, balancing and explore the bushland with friends.

Our workshop facilitator, Pascale, is a Forest School level 3 trained Leader, qualified horticulturalist and linguist who has experience working with children delivering gardening and sustainability programs in kindergarten and schools. Pascale has extensive knowledge of Australian flora and fauna and a deep passion for sharing her knowledge of Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung culture and languages.

Ages  3 – 10 years
