Come and join us for a morning of nature connection, discovery and learning at the stunning rock pools at Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary, located in Flinders on the Morning Peninsula. We’ll be starting off with some mindful exercises and doing beach yoga on the sand and then we’ll head out on the rockpools, exploring and learning about our magnificent marine life, their habitats and how you can help protect them.

Mushroom Reef  Marine Sanctuary is a beautiful rockpool oasis located in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula famous for its diversity of marine life, including sheltered rock pools, coves and a shallow reef on the ocean side as well as sandstone rock platforms extending from the shore.

Our workshop facilitator Alicia is an artist and certified kids yoga teacher who has studied conservation and has a wealth of knowledge about the local marine life at Mushroom Reef Sanctuary.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Ages: 3 – 12 years (siblings under 14 months are welcome to attend for free).
