Mud Kitchen Play & Nature Craft

  •  25/09/2017
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning of nature play at the wonderful Ceres Environmental Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East. We’ll be set up in the African village with a range of interactive, engaging and sensory nature play activities for your little ones to enjoy such as nature painting and creating nature stamps through sensory exploration.  Of course, our mud kitchen play and potion making are always popular with the little ones who enjoy cooking up a storm of mud pies and mud cakes!

This morning we’ll be making beautiful Spring nature crowns, bracelets and nature wands and you and your child will enjoy weaving and wrapping wool and other special things such as feathers, gum nuts, eucalyptus leaves and flowers from nature for their creations. Each creation is unique and it’s about the process of making and connecting with your child that is important. There is plenty of opportunity for free and unstructured play as our playgroups are child led.

Our playgroup facilitator Georgia who is a qualified and experienced early childhood educator will gently guide and support your child, as well as share an Australian story and some Indigenous songs with the children throughout the session.  There will be plenty of imaginative play with the new nature dress up crowns and wands to spark their creativity.

We hope you can join us!
