Mornington Peninsula Bush Kids – DIY Bug Hotels!

  •  19/01/2023
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us at Seawinds Gardens, Arthurs Seat Park on the Mornington Peninsula for our Bush Kids school holiday program making bug hotels to put in your garden.

Children will make their own bug hotel using various natural and recycled materials as well as learning how to safely use tools such a drill and hammer to help develop fine motor skills.

Bugs play an important environmental role in keeping our garden and plants healthy and this is a great workshop to learn all about them.

Your workshop facilitator is Nina, an Early Childhood Educator and kindy facilitator.

Eco Explorers Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children must have closed footwear when walking in the bush, sun hats, sunscreen, wet weather gear, plenty of snacks and water and a change of clothes. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

Ages: 4-10 years

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
