Bulleen Forest School – Bush Survival and Navigation

  •  05/01/2024
     9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for a full day of uninterrupted wild bush play, exploring, creating and learning bush survival and bushcraft skills through hands on activities that are fun, engaging and connects your child to nature in a deep and meaningful way.

Each Forest School holiday program is different so no two will be alike. During this workshop, we’ll be learning how to navigate safely  in the bush using a compass, maps and even the sun! They will also go on a bush walk learning about the plants and wildlife, learn to track, play games, do plenty of climbing and best of all, make some awesome new friends!

Our team of highly experienced forest school educators will support your child’s learning so that they become more confident, curious, capable and are taught to learn how to take safe risks in the bush through climbing, building and using real tools. They will also discover and learn about our natural environment and it’s fascinating wildlife.

The forest school is held at Banksia Park in Bulleen and led by Adam.

Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over 6 years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and to survive. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

Forest school Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing.  Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

Ages: 6-12 years
