Lancefield Bush Kindy – Nature Play Week!

  • Session
     08/04/2022
     1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us to celebrate Nature Play Week and come along to experience our Bush Kindy Kids program near Lancefield for for an afternoon filled with adventure, creating, learning and messy play in nature!

We’ll be making bush cubbies, cooking up a storm in our bush kitchen, learning bush survival skills such as rope knots, tools and how to make some really cool constructions such as rope swings!

Our Bush Kindy Kids program is for children aged 3 – 6 years and is specifically aimed at supporting children to develop important social, physical and emotional skills through hands-on learning and teaching them real-life bush survival and bushcraft skills.

By giving children small achievable tasks to complete, they learn to become more independent while developing self-esteem and confidence. By attending our forest school programs, children learn to assess risk and make sensible and informed decisions about how to deal with unfamiliar and unpredictable situations. The children will work both independently and as a team and take these skills home with them so they can use anytime in the bush.

Located at Goldie Bushland Reserve, this workshop is run by Adam and Lydian. Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over five years. He spent his childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and survive. Adam now hopes to share his childhood & adult experiences with the next generation to inspire a deep connection with nature. He is a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

Lydian is a Bush Playgroup Facilitator and Early Childhood Educator who runs a local Bush Playgroup and Bush Kindy program at Goldie Reserve every Friday.

Ages 3 – 6 years
