Attention City of Whittlesea families! Eco Explorers are hosting a very special event this Thursday (30 June) in collaboration with AFLW pro, Darcy Vescio called Get Your Explore On.

The day is all about getting outside and getting moving, enjoying and learning all about the wonderful green spaces Victoria has to offer. Wurundjeri Elder Uncle Dave Wandin will be there to do a welcome to country and talk to the children about the importance of connecting to their land.

Attendees will be guided through a local park or bush to experience a number of fun activities such as animal tracking, observing flora and fauna, hope to make rope swings, survival skills and even have a go at building at their own bush shelter!

Footy fans will also have the chance to meet Darcy Vescio who will be in attendance to get the kids inspired and excited.

This is a free event for children 6 years and over. Simply sign up below and attend, it is that easy!

Lunch is not included but you’re welcome to bring your own snacks and supplies.

The event is part of the Department of Education and Training Victoria’s Get Your Move On campaign.

Eco Explorers Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children must have closed footwear when walking in the bush, wet weather gear and snacks.

Please note that there will be a film crew there and parents of any kids in attendance will be required to sign a waiver for them to have their photo/video taken for press and marketing content that will be used to inspire school aged children across Victoria to get active.
