Join us on Saturdays in term 2 2023 for our Dads Bush Play program in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges at Kalorama Park Picnic Ground in Kalorma where we connect, learn, play and gather in nature.

Our Bush Playgroup incorporates hands-on, child-led learning and sensory play through a range of bush related activities, games, stories, songs and a bush walk connecting and discovering the local parks, learning about the local flora and fauna.

As places are limited, we ask that if you sign up, you commit to coming each Saturday for the 6 weeks.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through movement and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Bush playgroup is an all weather outdoor playgroup (there is large undercover shelter for rainy days) so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children and adults must wear closed footwear when walking in the bush, sun hats, sunscreen, wet weather gear, plenty of snacks and water and even a change of clothes for those muddy play days! Our playgroup will be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.

This 6 week Saturday morning bush playgroup delivered by Eco Explorers is provided by Yarra Ranges Council.
