Bush Playgroup (CASUAL) – Spring Crowns!

  •  02/10/2019
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a morning filled with nature connection, learning and play at Brimbank Park in Melbourne’s Western suburbs. We’ll be celebrating Spring making beautiful flower crowns for the children to wear, as well as enjoying play in our mud kitchen, a story and even a song before we head on a short bushwalk to discover the park.

We provide a gentle rhythm to our facilitated playgroups with a focus on sensory play activities (mud kitchen, art, mixing and creating), storytelling, song, craft, learning, unstructured play and plenty of opportunities to build gross motor skills through climbing, balancing and movement during our exploration bush walk.

Facilitated by Penny, a forest school leader and playgroup facilitator who runs our Brimabk park bush playgroups.

Bush playgroup is an all-weather outdoor playgroup so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Children must have closed footwear when walking in the bush, sun hats, sunscreen, wet weather gear, plenty of snacks and water and a change of clothes. Our playgroup will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong winds.

Ages: 1 – 6 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
