Templestowe Bush Families – Introduction to Whittling

  •  21/01/2024
     12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Are you looking to learn some bush skills with your child or to do something together that you both enjoy? Our 2 hour Bush Families workshops are just that! A mini workshop that introduces you to a different skill and activity.

Our bushcraft and whittling workshop introduce children to the ancient art of whittling wood to provide them with the many ways to experience the joy of traditional hand woodworking. We cover basic safety and how to use a peeler or knife and your child will be supported and guided through the correct techniques and methods to make their own project and feel confident in beginner whittling.

Children leave feeling proud of their accomplishments and learning how to use real tools. If you are looking for an activity to engage your children and encourage them to be creative outdoors, we highly recommend whittling and woodworking and all the basic supplies can be found on our online store.

This workshop is run by Forest School Leader Adam at Westerfolds Park.

Ages 4 – 10 years

*Parents are required to stay and supervise their child at all times.
