Join our City of Whittlesea Nature Families School Holiday program this summer and connect to and learn about your local parks and reserves.
Our programs introduce families to the great outdoors through fun and engaging activities while learning essential bush survival and bushcraft skills through hands on activities that promote self esteem, confidence, build resilience and most importantly encourage you to spend time outdoors and connect with nature in a deep and meaningful way.
During this hands-on workshop we’ll be learning essential bush survival skills, including how to use a compass and read maps and even go on a nature treasure hunt! Our bush kids programs are aimed to help children explore the natural world safely while learning important bush survival skills which builds self confidence, self esteem and helps them develop a respect for nature.
Located at Norris Bank Reserve in Bundoora.
Eco Explorers Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and strong wind.
Ages: 3-8 years
- Parents are required to stay and (encouraged to join in!) and supervise their child at all times.
Thanks to the City of Whittlesea conservation team for making these workshops available to families living within the City in Whittlese
