Minibeasts – Braeside Park

  •  06/04/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning of nature connection, exploration, learning, nature craft, stories, song and bushwalking at Braeside Park.

This session will be all about the wonderful crawly creatures that we find in the bush! The kids will go on a bug and nature hunt and learn all about these fascinating creatures through fun games and activities. There will be lots of sensory nature play, a craft activity to make your own creepy crawling bugs,  as well looking for water bugs by the pond, an Australian story, followed by a bush walk.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Our workshop facilitator, Pascale, is a qualified horticulturalist and linguist who has experience working with children delivering gardening and sustainability programs in kindergartens and schools. Pascale has extensive knowledge of Australian flora and fauna and a deep passion for sharing her knowledge of Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung culture and languages.

Ages: 3 – 12 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
