Boat & Mini Raft Making

     12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

It’s time to get the kids off the screens and into our Bush Kids School Holiday Program these summer school holidays! They’ll learn life skills while making friends and building confidence.

Join us in this hands-on workshop where kids learn and make their own boats and/or mini rafts out of natural materials. The kids will start off with simple designs and then build more elaborate constructions. Children will also get to use a variety of tools.

This workshop is run by Adam.

Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over two years. He spent his entire childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and to simplify… just ‘being’ at one in nature. He is also a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

By giving children small achievable tasks to complete, they learn to become more independent while developing self-esteem and learning to assess risk and make sensible and informed decisions about how to deal with unfamiliar and unpredictable situations. The children will work both independently and as a team and take these skills home with them that can use anytime in the bush.

Ages: 5 – 12 years

*Parents are required to stay and are responsible for their children at all times.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
