Beach Art – Sand Sculptures & Mandalas

  •  18/01/2019
     10:00 am - 11:30 am

Come and join us for a creative art workshop at the beach! Inspired by mermaids, marine life, shells, seaweed and sand. You will be using all natural items found in nature to create beautiful pieces of artwork.

Your facilitator Kate, is a professional artist, primary school teacher and bush playgroup facilitator. She is passionate about creativity and how sensory interaction with the natural environment can stimulate curiosity, imagination and creativity. Kate also runs our Lysterfield Lakes and Braeside Park Bush Playgroups and has a wealth of knowledge about the natural environment, it’s history and through stories and play, connects children in a meaningful way to the land.

The workshop is a great opportunity for children (and adults!) to immerse themselves in nature art and a creative process that child led. The children will work in groups together and this workshop is a great opportunity for children to take some time out, hang out with new friends and see the beach through an artists eye.

Ages: 4 – 10 years

*Parents are required to attend and are responsible for their children at all times.
