Australian Animals Puppetry Workshop

  •  25/01/2019
     9:30 am - 11:00 am

Ignite your child’s creativity and love of nature through art, craft and storytelling with our Australian animals bush puppets workshop!

The children will create their own Australian animal bush puppets using natural and recycled materials, then after a busy morning of crafting, the children will create a play and act out an Australian animal story! What better way to spend the morning than combing craft and theatre!

The possibilities are endless and they may make bush snakes, goannas, crocodiles, echidnas, koala, kangaroo tails and much much more.

Located at the popular Ceres Environment Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East, families can also enjoy a visit to the CERES organic market, cafe and the nursery while there.

This workshop is run by Adam and Ashlee.

Adam is the founder of Eco Explorers and has been delivering bush programs to families for over two years. He spent his childhood living and camping in the bush; climbing mountains, exploring rivers, learning to fish, track, make fires and to simplify… just ‘being’ at one in nature. Adam now hopes to share his childhood & adult experiences with the next generation to inspire a deep connection with nature. He is a forest school leader and has a background in Outdoor Education.

Ashlee is a qualified and experienced, early childhood educator and forest school leader who has been working as a wilderness camp leader and as a theatre puppet maker for children for nearly 10 years. She has a passion for connecting children to nature and does so through creative activities, stories and games.

Ages: 2 – 8 years

Parents must stay with their children at all times.
