Description
Our Pop Up Bush Playgroups are designed for little ones to connect with nature through workshops celebrating the wonders of Australian flora and fauna. Each session is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and deepen nature connection through:
-
- Sensory Nature Play Activities – explore the natural world through touch, sound, smell, sight, and movement with our messy in nature, fun activities.
- Nature Storytelling – Settle in under the trees for gentle, engaging stories inspired by iconic Australian animals.
- Australian Songs & Rhymes – Sing along to bush-themed songs and movement games featuring kookaburras, gum trees, possums, echidnas, and more!
- Nature Craft & Eco Art – Using natural and recycled materials, children create beautiful keepsakes and collaborative artworks inspired by the workshop’s theme.
- Bush Explorations – Guided walks and gentle bush adventures give children the freedom to explore, climb, balance, and learn about the animals that live there.
Located at Birdsland Reserve in Belgrave Heights. The workshop is led by Anne, a bush playgroup facilitator and early childhood educator with 5 years of experience running programs in the Dandenong Ranges, and extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna.
Eco Explorers is an all-weather outdoor program, so it is important to wear appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning, such as fire, storm, high temperatures, or strong wind.
Ages: 1 – 6 years (siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend for free).
*Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encouraged to join in on the fun!Â
