- Must live in the City of Whittlesea
- Have children aged 0 – 4 years
- Have not attended an Eco Explorers program (paid or funded before)
- Able to commit weekly and attend the full term program

Join us for a weekly bush playgroup program where families gather to enjoy all the benefits that nature has to offer at our Family Nature Club funded by the City of Whittlesea!
If you are looking for an activity for you and your child to do weekly outdoors that supports their development, learning and social skills and benefits your mental heath then we’d love for you to join our family nature club! We’re here to help you connect to your local community and to support you and your child to enjoy more time outdoors in nature at some of our favourite reserves within the City of Whittlesea. We provide a gentle rhythm to our facilitated playgroups with a focus on sensory play, storytelling, song, craft, learning, unstructured play and plenty of opportunities to build gross motor skills through climbing, balancing and movement.
It’s also a time for parents to disconnect from their busy lives (and technology) and re-connect with their child in nature. This time is as much for you as it is for your child. Our bush playgroups bring together a community of like-minded parents who are supportive and welcoming.
At Eco Explorers Bush Programs, we incorporate hands-on, child-led learning and sensory play through nature-based activities, nature crafts, storytelling, songs and a bushwalk focusing on movement, climbing and learning about the local flora and fauna.
Located in Doreen, our City of Whittlesea Family Nature Club is run by Ting, a performer, yoga teacher and storyteller.
Eco Explorers is an all-weather outdoor program, so it is important to wear appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning, such as fire, storm, high temperatures, or strong wind.
