Phillip Island Beach & Bush Playgroup

  •  24/04/2018 - 26/06/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a 6 week beach & bush playgroup program that offers your child the opportunity to play with other kids outdoors and enjoy a variety of nature-based activities such nature craft, art, stories, song, learning and exploration in the beach and bush.

The first 3 weeks start off at Red Rocks beach, exploring and learning about our AMAZING marine life and offering sensory play activities, weekly craft and rock pool exploring on the beach.

Then after a 4 week break (May 14th -8th June), we start again at our bush location at Oswin Roberts & Conservation Hill Reserve for 3 weeks, where you will be immersed in bush skills, bush crafts, building, creating and learning all about the wildlife, plants and local history.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Our workshop facilitator, Nadine, is an early childhood educator who has over 10 years experience working as an Education Ranger at the Phillip Island Nature Park. She combines her passion for tourism and extensive knowledge of the local area with her love of working with children.

Ages: 1 – 6 years (siblings under 14 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
