Campfire & Bush Tucker – pre-school

  •  03/07/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a morning learning all about and cooking bush tucker around a warm fire at the wonderful Ceres Environmental Park in Melbourne’s Brunswick East. We’ll be set up in the African village. The children will go on a bush walk and learn about bush tucker from Ryan and then cook some over the fire to enjoy for morning tea.

This workshop is a chance for children and families to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life. It’s like going camping without all the packing!  We’ll also share some stories, maybe a few jokes and songs around the fire.

If your child loves camping and the outdoors, then this campfire and bush tucker workshop is for them!

Research clearly shows that the more time children spend outdoors, then better they are prepared for school and life. Spending time outdoors is essential for normal development and a healthy childhood.

This session will be led by Melinda, Adam and Ryan. Melinda is a certified Forest School Leader who has also trained in Nature Pedagogy under Claire Warden. Ryan and Adam have a background in outdoor education and are experienced in leading forest school groups in the bush.

We hope you can join us for a morning Aussie campfire ‘experience’ like no other.

Ages: 3-8 years
