Phillip Island Beach Playgroup

  •  27/09/2018
     10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and join us for a fun morning filled with of nature connection, rock pool exploration and learning, games, activities and story at Red Rocks Beach near Cowes on Phillip Island.  The workshop will start off with some sensory nature ‘marine-themed’ play to inspire creative play and learning, then the group will head of for a marine scavenger hunt to learn about the amazing marine life that live at Red Rocks and ways they can protect it. On their return, children will make their own rockpool on a plate to take home. This is a fabulous sensory and learning activity for little ones.

Our program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through climbing, balancing, walking and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

Our workshop facilitator, Nadine, is an early childhood educator who has over 10 years experience working as an Education Ranger at the Phillip Island Nature Park. She combines her passion for tourism and extensive knowledge of the local area with her love of working with children.

Ages: 2 – 6 years (siblings under 14 months are welcome to attend for free).

*Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
